On January 22, 2006, The John Marshall Law School conferred upon Mr. Skoskiewicz the degree of Master of Laws in Taxation. He also received his Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1981 and was admitted to the practice of law in Illinois that same year. His experience includes: in private practice representing individuals and businesses; a certified arbitrator and chairperson for the Circuit Court of Cook County; a Pro Bono Guardian ad Litem for the Circuit Court of Cook County; a former extern for the Internal Revenue Service; a former assistant Public Defender for Will County, Illinois; and formerly employed in various capacities in a large corporate environment.
Mr. Skoskiewicz received a Certificate of Completion from the John Marshall Law School for the successfully completion of specialization courses in Estate and Personal Financial Planning. He is a member of the Advocate Society and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association's estate planning and probate committee. He volunteers as a Pro Bono Guardian ad litem for the Circuit Court of Cook County and as a tax aide for the AARP-IRS tax assistance program. Mr. Skoskiewicz is also conversant in the Polish language.
